5 of 5 Works on Mac Friday, May 04, 2007
A Customer from New york,N.Y.
This product is great. I am using it on a Mac Pro.I think it is faster than my airport card in my Powerbook G4.Do not use this product simultaniously in a computer with other cards,it will damage both. Don't expect D-Link to help you with this product on a Mac either. They were unhelpful and/or unknoledgeable . Download the driver from Ralink Technology ( 2500 series USB Mac driver package) Thank you to the review that helped me with this product!

5 of 5 Works with Vista with a little work Friday, April 06, 2007
John from Madison, WI
Just bought this from buy.com and received the B1 hardware version. Got it working with Vista using the following sequence: 1) Install the XP drivers from the CD 2) Plug in the DWL-G122 and it will recognize it fine. Problem is, when you reboot you'll get some errors. 3) Uninstall the AirPlus G driver software. 4) In the device manager, uninstall the now unrecognized device. 5) In the device manager, scan for hardware changes and let it install the drivers from the CD. 6) Now it will reboot cleanly. It may be possible to skip 1-4, but that's what I did and now that I've got it working I don't want to mess with it!

5 of 5 Works for Vista Monday, March 19, 2007
Julius from Chicago
I bought one for my new Vista computer. Plugged it in and Vista automatically recognized and installed the driver for it. Didn't have to use the beta driver that D-Link provided on its website.

Amy from Utica, Oh.
I am very new to using the usb adapter and this was the first I have bought. It is very easy to install the software and even easier to use after that. I would highly recommend this product. It is a litte larger than some I have seen since, but very easy, great connection, and super convienient. The ordering and delivery was smooth too.

5 of 5 Good Price, Easy to Install & Performs Well Thursday, September 14, 2006
Lewis Edge from Princeton, NJ USA
Since most laptop computers already come with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, this product might appear, at first glance, to be redundant and unnecessary. However, there are several reasons to consider buying one of these. First of all, failures of built-in adapters is fairly common. This adapter costs little more than the shipping charges to send your laptop to a repair facility and youll avoid the inconvenience of being without your computer while its built-in adapter is being fixed. More important for most users would be the improved performance and flexibility of an external adapter. The best signal and the most convenient position for your laptop computer are often not in the same place. This adapter is packaged with an extension cable that allows you to position the adapter independently of your computer when necessary. My experience with this adapter is excellent. The software and drivers were easy to install and its sensitivity was much better than my laptops built-in adapter even when it was plugged directly into my computers USB port without the extension cable. Since it is small and lightweight, its not likely to burden traveling road warriors. Highly recommended.

5 of 5 Works Great Thursday, March 16, 2006
Sam from Canton, GA
I've had this for a short time, but it works very well. My access point/router are in the same room, so I can't comment on range. It was easy to install and no problem with bandwidth. The device was a little bigger than expected, so I have some concern about plugging directly into my desktop and leaving it there. Who knows? It may get damaged if bump the adapter as it is plugged in, but a nice suprise came with the USB wireless adapter. A USB extension cable/stand! I can remove the adapter from desktop and plug it in the stand. The stand is nicely weighted and holds the adapter upright for good reception.

D link is simply amazing...this very compact wireless adapter is so easy to use and connects effortlessly to any kind of wireless router. Had no problem installing the software. Simply plug and play. Great reception and great value. I got this at buy.com for a reasonable price and it even came with a rebate. Really reasonable.

5 of 5 Easy install and use... Monday, September 05, 2005
James Brady from Fort Myers, FL
The D-Link DWL-G122 - Compact Wireless USB Adapter, 802.11g, 54Mbps which I bought from BUY.COM has been very useful. The only concern I have is that it apparently needs a better antenna, compared with another method, such as a card. If I get near the transmitter, it works as advertised. I like the USB adapter because I can easily move it to another PC whether it is a desk top or lap top.

5 of 5 got burned on this one Saturday, September 03, 2005
A Customer from chicago, IL
i guess sometimes you get what you pay for - this worked fine for a week or so and now the card won't make a good connection with the USB port - it will work fine for a little bit and then lose the connection with the port - if you pull it out and put it in it usually will connect again. unfortunately, i cut off the bar code for the rebate and buy.com won't take it back and dlink won't take it back since it's still under store warranty - i'm really annoyed and DO NOT recommend this product.
